Gemba, a Japanese term meaning “the real place,” is a philosophy that encourages leaders to go directly to where the work happens to observe processes, identify problems and implement solutions. Introducing Andrew Greaves Senior Solutions Design Manager Rudolph and Hellmann are excited to announce the return of Andrew Greaves as Senior Solutions Design Manager in the Projects Team. Andy’s journey with the company began over a decade ago as a Logistics Analyst, and he now returns with an impressive 14 years of expertise across retail technology, automotive manufacturing and e-commerce. Andy’s career highlights include pioneering roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he drastically improved implementation timelines and led projects like the “Just Walk Out” technology at Wembley Stadium. At BMW Group, he streamlined logistics with innovations like automated tow trains and advanced SAP systems. His stint at Lotus F1 showcased his talent for precision and process optimisation in high-stakes environments. Andy excels in delivering transformative projects, combining technical mastery in technologies like IoT, machine learning and cloud solutions with leadership in lean manufacturing methods. His expertise is invaluable as Rudolph and Hellmann expand into NHS and UK aerospace sectors, where efficiency and innovation are key. We are thrilled to have Andy’s blend of technical skill and strategic insight driving our mission forward in these critical industries. Welcome back, Andy! Elevating Standards and Embracing Sustainability We overhauled our Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring clarity and efficiency. Rigorous auditing and 5S practices maintained a safe and productive work environment. A major milestone was achieving TISAX Level 2 certification, demonstrating our commitment to information security. Sustainability was a key focus. We introduced new initiatives to reduce paper usage, calculated our carbon footprint and achieved carbon neutrality for our head office. We also improved our sustainability score in supplier assessments. The success of these initiatives is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our teams, and the strong partnership between R&HA and BMW. We’re proud of our achievements and excited about the future. 2024 was a year of significant achievement for Rudolph and Hellmann at Mini Plant Oxford. We focused on quality, efficiency and sustainability, implementing new systems, achieving certifications and reducing our environmental impact.
