Rudolph & Hellmann 2024 Sustainability Report
Our Approach to Sustainability Creating a sustainable future At Rudolph and Hellmann, we recognise the critical importance of addressing climate change. Inspired by the COP 21 Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming, we embarked on our own journey to Net Zero in late 2022. We believe that every organisation has a role to play in creating a sustainable future. Building Our Roadmap Our first step was partnering with Carbonology® Ltd, a recognised consultancy firm, to guide us in creating a robust sustainability roadmap. This roadmap, finalised last September, outlines a clear, seven-stage approach. l Define: Our journey began with a collaborative meeting to define the scope of our project. We agreed on organisational and reporting boundaries, established timelines, allocated resources (including a dedicated project team), secured leadership commitment, confirmed project dates, and identified the data required for the next phase. l Quantify: This crucial stage involved processing and organising data, identifying and addressing any anomalies, and developing accurate estimates for Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. We conducted a thorough review of our supply chain, mapping routes and distributing surveys. We also carefully documented our methodologies, estimates, assumptions, and any uncertainties. This comprehensive data collection enabled us to establish our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory, develop a bespoke Emissions Monitoring System, and ultimately calculate our carbon footprint. 10
