Harvesting Home Grown Timber
A core element in the success of R&H is the people working in the organisation and their ability to grow, develop skills and thrive in the fast paced environment in which we operate. Sergiu is a fantastic example of what any R&H operative can achieve. He started with us in January 2015 and as a regular agency worker, he soon grasped the possibilities within the organisation when he took-up a full-time position in November the same year. Starting his career as a picker, he progressed through the roles of MHE Driver, Team Leader, Process Leader and Process Support Partner (PSP).
Investing in personal development
During his time as Team Leader and Process Leader Sergiu learned the true importance of looking after people, supporting them in their role and making sure Health & Safety is followed. As PSP he learned how to steer and monitor projects, whilst implementing continuous improvement processes, Gainshare, and working with MTM. As his roles developed, so did his level of expertise as the organisation promoted the opportunity to increase his formal qualifications. As a result of his hard work, Sergiu achieved MTM 1, MTM UAS and MTM SOL Method Time Measurement (MTM) certificates.
“In my current role I’ve worked within a highly experienced team, which has enabled me to further improve my skills by creating quality assurance frameworks within the process design and MTM. I think the greatest lesson I’ve learned at my time with R&H is to understand the customers unique needs first. Then look to develop a solution which works to deliver the process, innovation and optimisation within their framework of success.”
